What operating systems do you work with?
We work with Windows 7 & Windows 10 as well as current Windows Server Operating Systems. We may be able to work with your Mac computer as well.
What kind of computers do you work with?
The brand name of your computer has no effect on our ability to work with it as long as it has one of the operating systems listed in the question above. We may be able to provide support for other operating systems.
How do you access my computer remotely?
Using a licensed and certified program, we’ll ask you to visit a link within our website, you’ll be assigned an authorization code, and you’ll allow a simple plugin to be added to your Internet browser by following the simple instructions that appear on the screen. Within a minute or less, we’re ready to connect. We’re then able to control your computer as if we were in front of it, and you’re able to watch everything we’re doing without physically sitting next to us. When we’re finished, we exit your computer and the software automatically uninstalls. Additionally, with one click you’re able to push us out of your computer and automatically uninstall the software. We can’t access your computer again without you going through the authorization process.
Do you offer discounts for multiple computers?
If you have multiple computers, please CONTACT US and let us know how many computers you have, where you are located by zip code, and whether you’re a business or individual consumer, which helps us determine the reality of traveling to you if necessary. There are many factors that go into discount pricing for multiple computers, part of which involves our ability to service multiple computers at the same time which typically can only be done on-site if you have a large number of computers, as even covering travel expenses would come out cheaper than paying full price for each computer. We’ll work with you to provide fair pricing if you have more than one computer though. We can likely offer you a discount even on a second computer. Just CONTACT US and we’ll go from there.
When you are connected to my computer, can anyone else see what’s on my computer?
No. Our remote software connects through 256-bit SSL encryption. This is the same security used when you purchase goods and services through the Internet using your credit card. Only you and our support technician(s) can see what is on your computer. You’ll also be able to monitor exactly what is being done so you’ll know nothing is being accessed that shouldn’t be. In the event that you ask us to look at a program that has personal data within it, we will not copy, collect, or otherwise share that with anyone.
Will I get a record of my remote support session?
When the support session terminates, whether by you or by us, a confirmation appears on the screen.
Is your software like GoToMyPC or PCAnywhere?
The licensed software we use is similar to remote access services like GoToMyPC, yet different. The biggest difference being that no program is installed to your computer, just a browser plugin, and we can’t access your computer again without a new authorization. In order for us to gain access to your PC again, you’ll have to go through the quick steps that give us the access. Without it, we can’t get in, period.
If I purchase Clean & Clear Deluxe, can it be used on more than one computer?
Clean & Clear has been discontinued.
